Miley reveals new 'Can't Be Tamed' album details

Miley Cyrus is set to release her third studio album as Miley Cyrus, and along with the title track “Can’t Be Tamed,” the album also includes songs like “Scars” and a cover of Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”
Miley is re-teaming with Tim James and Antonina Armato, her songwriting collaborators who co-wrote the singles “See You Again,” “7 Things,” and “Can’t Be Tamed” with Cyrus. They co-wrote tracks like album opener “Liberty Walk” and “Forgiveness and Love.”

John Shanks, who produced Miley’s international hit “The Climb,” is also producing on the new album. Among his products is a cover of Poison’s 1988 hit “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” a song she calls one of her favorites. She collaborated on the track with Poison lead singer Bret Michaels, who also recorded a duet the teen star, “Nothing to Lose,” released earlier this year.

"It's a song that everyone knows and loves," she said about the song late last year. "I feel like the way the music industry is today really shelters kids and they aren't exposed to songs as honest and real as this one."

Among the other tracks on the album are “Permanent December,” “My Hear t Beats For Love,” and “Robot,” a song she wrote about not wanting to be “the machine everyone thinks you should be".

“Can’t Be Tamed” hits stores on June 22nd. It’ll arrive in standard CD and deluxe editions, including a DVD of last year’s “Wonder World Tour,” where she performed hits like “Party in the U.S.A.” and “When I Look At You.”
