MTV News introduces you to everyone who's going to make a splash in pop music and culture over the next 12 months. They could be arriving on the scene or are already well established. Miley is one of these people they expect big things from in 2010, alongside Katy Perry and Kristen Stewart, all named as the 3 female MVPs.

Miley Cyrus
Age: 17

Hails From: Nashville

In 2009: She released the EP Time of Our Lives and took over the airwaves with her hit “Party in the U.S.A.” She also quit Twitter, was a hit at the box office with “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” went on a successful tour and had everyone talking about her relationship with ex Nick Jonas and her controversial performance at the Teen Choice Awards.

What She’s Up to in 2010: She announced she’ll be ending “Hannah Montana” after season four, but with a year left in the series, fans shouldn’t expect her to go anywhere on the small screen. She’s set to release her more mature flick, “The Last Song,” in which she plays rebellious teen Veronica Miller, in April. She’ll also make a cameo in the sequel to the “Sex and the City” movie this spring. Plus, she’s hard at work on some new music, which she says will be very different from her signature pop sound.

Choice Quote: “I changed a lot when I was in Tybee Island [Georgia, filming 'Last Song']. I feel like art really does imitate life,” she said. “So just showing this movie, I feel like I’m really showing a part of my growth as a person as well. So I’m really excited for people to see it, just because of what it means to me, personally.”
