Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" Wins Musicnotes Song of the Year Award!

It was announced this week that Miley Cyrus’ song “The Climb” has been awarded the seventh annual Musicnotes Song of the Year Award by Musicnotes, Inc., the market leader in downloadable sheet music.

The award signifies that “The Climb” was the best-selling sheet music song of 2009.

Kathy Marsh, President and CEO of Musicnotes.com, said:

"Looking back at the years that we have given out this award, we can see how well the most popular song reflects an important part of popular culture. Each award speaks to a part of music history."

Julie Enzer, from Disney Music Publishing, had this to say about the award:

Miley to be attending Sex And The City 2 Premiere?

Miley is looking forward to hitting the red carpet when the premiere of Sex and The City 2 comes.

The star of the 'The Last Song' has a small cameo in the sequel (Miley plays herself), and she can't wait for the movie to hit the big screen.

"I have a super, super small role but I still can't wait to go to the premiere because it's one of my favorite movies," enthused the teen singer/actress.

"I love the show so I was super stoked when I heard they wanted me to be a part of it," said Miley. "It was amazing. They are all so sweet and so fun to be around. I love them."

Cyrus, who will be filming with Demi Moore for the forthcoming 'LOL' film, added: "Sarah Jessica Parker is my style icon so it was really fun to meet her and work with her."

Miley grants wishes of Wayauwega girl

A Weyauwega teenager met pop music star Miley Cyrus.

Thirteen-year-old Autumn Breier suffers from epilepsy and recent found out the Make-a-Wish Foundation was flying her to California to fulfill her dream of meeting the pop star, and she attended a private Miley Cyrus concert.

The concert took place Wednesday.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation says right now more than 230 Wisconsin children are in the process of having their special wishes granted.
